Escape the stress and rush of city life and unwind in our charming A-frame cabins nestled within a serene woody area on our beautiful farm in East Texas. This off-grid retreat is the perfect destination for couples seeking a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature or for those who love camping but want a little bit more comfort. There is no electricity, but some spots have decent cell service. You are welcome to charge your phone in our barn if necessary, and re-freeze ice packs in our freezer.

A-Frame Charm: Our cabin boasts classic A-frame architecture, providing a unique and cozy atmosphere for your stay. All cabins have a small sitting area inside and outside, as well as a morning nook and spacious sleeping chambers. In addition to basic necessities including towels, sheets, pillows, dishes and pans, we also provide firewood for a night by the campfire. 

 

Forest Views: Open up the pop-up window and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the surrounding forest. Gaze out at the trees and wildlife from the comfort of your cabin. Most of our cabins sleep 2: The cabin is designed for an intimate experience, ideal for couples looking to reconnect with each other and with nature.

 

Compost Toilet: Bathroom facilities include a sawdust bucket composting toilet and a low-flow camp shower that is filled by heating water on the fire. Tap water is gravity fed and non-potable, but we do provide a jug of drinking water. Experience sustainable living with our eco-friendly compost toilet, minimizing your ecological footprint while still enjoying modern comfort.

 

Fire Pit: Gather around the fire pit in the evenings, roast marshmallows, and share stories under the starry Texas sky.

 

Farm Experience: In addition to the cozy cabin, our farm offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and farm life. Interact with our friendly farm animals, including goats, chickens, horses, pigs, and ducks. Feed them, pet them, and experience the joys of rural living. Our wooded hiking trails, and fish-laden waters offer both the novice and experienced outdoors lover physical challenge as well as relaxation. Guests often see our free-range animals as they experience the homestead. Bird watching is also a favorite pastime. We have working farm dogs that run lose, they are very friendly, and love snuggles! 

 

Guests are welcome to explore the Garden. Discover the beauty of our garden and learn about sustainable farming practices and reconnect with the earth. We also offer guided tours of our farm for an additional fee, where you can learn about our sustainable farming practices, our commitment to animal welfare, and the importance of sustainable agriculture.

Parking will be in the main house driveway, an 8-minute walk to your cabin. We provide a wagon to haul your bags. In wet weather the trail to the cabin is muddy, so bring boots!

The community pond house will be equipped with a full kitchen, spacious outdoor living area, roomy bathrooms, ideal for a family reunion or conference meeting. It also has one attached bedroom with a double bed. Coming 2026!

​Our mission is to provide families and especially military veterans a quiet and peaceful place to rest, relax and renew. Once a month we host a free family getaway to a military veteran -with service-related disability. Service dogs are welcome.
