Meet Gerald

Gerald came to our homestead as one of three bottle babies alongside Snow and Butterscotch. As a young Alpine buck, he needed extra care and plenty of bottles, but from the very beginning, he showed a personality all his own. While Snow was always the bold one demanding attention, Gerald was quieter, gentler, and perfectly content simply being close to the people who loved him.

During those early months, Gerald was bottle-fed several times a day, creating a strong bond with our family. Every feeding, every scratch behind the ears, and every quiet moment helped build the trusting, affectionate goat he is today. He quickly learned that people meant comfort, kindness, and full bottles, and he has never forgotten it.

As Gerald grew, so did his calm confidence. Unlike many bucks, who can be loud, pushy, or constantly looking for mischief, Gerald developed into a peaceful, easygoing companion. He enjoys attention, but he never demands it. If you sit quietly in the pasture, he'll often wander over on his own, gently lean in for scratches, soak up a few cuddles, and then happily return to grazing with the rest of the herd.

Today, Gerald is one of the sweetest members of our goat family. His gentle nature makes him a favorite with visitors, and he's proof that strength doesn't have to be loud. Whether he's peacefully browsing fresh pasture, relaxing in the sunshine, or quietly following his herd mates across the homestead, Gerald reminds us that sometimes the kindest souls leave the biggest footprints on our hearts.
