Snow's Journey

Some animals are born on the homestead.

Others find their way here.

Snow's story began in May 2024, when she arrived as one of three tiny bottle babies alongside Butterscotch and Gerald. From the very beginning, she stood out with her sweet personality, curious nature, and endless desire to be close to people.

Like many bottle babies, Snow quickly formed a strong bond with her family. Every bottle feeding was another chance to build trust, and before long she had decided that humans were her favorite place to be. Even today, she's happiest when she's right beside someone—whether they invited her into their personal space or not.

As Snow grew, she became much more than one of our dairy goats. She developed into one of the calmest and most dependable members of the herd. Her gentle temperament makes her the perfect teacher whenever visitors come to experience life on the homestead.

If you've ever wanted to learn how to milk a goat, chances are Snow is the one patiently standing on the milk stand waiting for you. She calmly enjoys her grain while beginners learn at their own pace, never seeming to mind the extra time or awkward first attempts.

Of course, Snow has a little sass, too.

If she thinks she's being ignored, she'll gently remind you that she exists—usually by nudging her way into your bubble or asking for attention with one of her famous kisses. Around the front pasture, even the dogs know Snow deserves a little respect. She isn't bossy, but she definitely carries herself like she belongs in charge.

Today, Snow is one of the most recognizable faces at Leddy's Homestead. Whether she's helping teach visitors, greeting families, or simply making everyone smile with her affectionate personality, she's become an unforgettable part of our family.

She may have arrived as a tiny bottle baby...

…but she'll always be one of the queens of the homestead.
